Beverly Rhyner-Hoptay, CEO of Squared Away Consultants, LLC, has demonstrated managerial success in the public and private sectors, having worked with financial and law enforcement agencies for more than 30 years.

Beverly’s compassion and empathy has helped to guide Squared Away Consultants to address the safety and security of those who mean the most; Our families, friends, communities, customers, co-workers, and businesses.


Dr. Steve Hoptay, President

Dr. Steve Hoptay has a proven record  of public and private sector executive leadership, spanning 4 decades of practical asset protection and emergency management experience.  

As Vice President of Asset Protection for Wakefern Food Corp. Steve’s vision reinvented the role  of the former loss prevention division and created a new industry model in the private sector.  

Prior to his career at Wakefern, Steve served as a leader and trailblazer in the New Jersey State  Police Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Branch. Steve also has more  than 25 years of experience as a career firefighter and mobile intensive care paramedic.  
The practical knowledge and skills that Steve developed has transcended numerous successful  programs and initiatives that he has spearheaded during his careers. 

Additionally, Steve embraces the value and importance of continuing the development and  strengthening of partnerships between public and private entities to augment security initiatives,  identifying valuable resources, and fostering relevant information sharing. As a practitioner, Steve  recognizes that such initiatives are manifested through the dynamic planning, training, and  exercising continuum. 

Dr. Hoptay has demonstrated his leadership skills in higher education, serving as Founding Chair  of the External Advisory Board (EAB) for the Police Graduate Studies Program and adjunct  professor at Seton Hall University.
